2011 Festival Highlights Two: Soundwave

Festival Highlight Number Two was held in March of this year. The Soundwave Festival held in Bonython Park just gets bigger and bigger and this year was no exception.

With headliners Iron Maiden putting on a huge show and other big names like Queens of the Stone Age, Slayer, Primus, Slash and Rob Zombie pulling massive crowds this was the highlight of the festivals so far this year.

2011 Festival Highlights One: Big Day Out

Iggy and the Stooges

On a cold winter day, I thought it was time to remind myself of the warm and sunny days that I have spent shooting some of the touring festivals so far this year.

The Deftones

The first one was the Big Day Out. The always popular tour had a number of big acts that had been here before... highlights included Iggy and the Stooges, Die Antwoord, Rammstein and Grinderman.

The Foo Fighters Are Coming!

It's been a while... not the Foo Fighters, but me. Been busy with family additions! The Foo Fighters have been busy too, but they have found time to announce an Australian stadium tour at the end of the year through Frontier Touring. The last time they played Adelaide was huge so this is sure to be a great show.

I was lucky enough to shoot the last tour so fingers crossed for this one! These photos were from the Adelaide Entertainment Centre during their 2008 full Oz tour.

Laneway 2011 was the first time I have attended this festival and it left me asking myself why I haven't gone before. Apart from the fact that it was tightly packed the music and atmosphere was amazing. Working for The Vine and hanging out with some good mates it was a cracking night.
